Welcome to Idokan Europa

As an internationally active martial arts association, IDOKAN EUROPA e.V. exercises, propagates and supports the Budo discipline of Ido as perpetual movement. The inner path (the mental power) and the school of perfect movement have top priority. Qualified masters, who back the ideals of Budo imperturbly, hold further training courses in various styles.

In practice Ido means the line-up of actions, combinations and counter techniques – the idea is not to fight against each other, but with each other.
This principle can be applied to all Budo arts, such as Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Karate-Do, Iaido, et cetera. For this reason the Budo arts are to be exercised without stylistic limitations, and should not be administered or marketed.
Idokan is meant to be the home for Budo practitioners of all martial art disciplines and styles.
